This tour is designed by Gino for those who seek knowledge in Italian cooking, Italian wine appreciation, food shopping, and ancient Tuscan cuisine. The tour is highly recommended for those who wish to modify their diet to a Mediterranean type of diet for health and longevity. This tour adds the flexibility of making your own flight arrangements to Italy and the option of staying an extra 2 days.

Welcome to Italy. Our own driver will greet you at the Rome or Florence airport on this day. Enjoy the beautiful ride with our own bus to our compound, Casa Savelli, in Gallina in the Valley of Val D'Orcia, Province of Siena. Our residence is centrally located, just a 45 min. ride from Siena and close to a wide variety of Tuscan attractions. Casa Savelli is a spacious fully restored early 20th century farmhouse with breathtaking views of rolling Tuscan fields, reserved exclusively for our group.

  Daily Schedule, 24 - 29 September 2005
  Start the day with a delicious breakfast by Gino at Casa Savelli.
  Daily outing for food shopping, 11 am
Let Gino guide you to a most enjoyable European style grocery shopping expedition, to the produce store, the butcher, the bakery, the deli. Enjoy lunch on your own or better yet, you have the best ingredients available, why not make your own? You can have free time right after shopping until 4 pm to explore the endless wonders of the Tuscan countryside. Driver service is available for an extra fee. Gino will provide you with many insights as to where to go and what to enjoy.
  Daily cooking class and dinner by Gino, 4 pm
Gino will guide you to a scrumptious discovery journey in a world renowned cuisine. Learn how to change your eating habits to your health's benefit - and of course enjoy Gino's dinner masterpieces. Discover and appreciate the great wines of Tuscany with the help of Gino's wine expertise.

It's time to pack up. Breakfast and departure for the Rome or Florence airport. Those who didn't have enough have the option of staying an extra two days.

  Accommodations
Casa Savelli includes 5 apartments. Each apartment sleeps three and comes with a fully equipped kitchen and private bath, linen and towels and has access to a washer and dryer free of charge. Your apartment will be cleaned daily and a laundry service is optional.

  Fee
The fee for this 7-day tour is $1,400 per person double occupancy. For triple occupancy the cost is $1,300 per person. For staying the extra two days please add $400 per person (it does not include any meals).
The fee includes:
  accommodations
  breakfasts, cooking classes and dinners with wine
  transportation from and to Rome or Florence airport
Please note: the fee does NOT include air fare to Italy, transportation to and from airport in the US, lunches and after dinner wine or drinks.

  Reservations
